Classification Detail

This division includes transport of passengers or freight over water, whether scheduled or not. Also included are the operation of towing or pushing boats, excursion, cruise or sightseeing boats, ferries, water taxis, etc. Exclusions: Restaurant and bar activities on board of ships are classified in class 5520 (Restaurants, bars and canteens), except when delivered as an integral part of transportation. Cargo handling, storage of freight, harbour operation and other auxiliary activities such as docking, pilotage, lighterage and vessel salvage are classified in the appropriate class of group 630 (Supporting and auxiliary transport activities; activities of travel agencies).
