This class includes hunting and trapping on a commercial basis. Taking of animals, dead or alive, for food, fur, skin, or for use in research, in zoos or as pets. Catching of sea mammals, e.g. walrusses, seals. Production of furskins, reptile or bird skins from hunting and trapping activities. Game propagation and breeding of game. Service activities to promote commercial hunting and trapping. Exclusions: Production of furskins, reptile or bird skins from ranching operation is classified in class 0122 (Other animal farming; production of animal products n.e.c.). Whale catching is classified in class 0500 (Fishing, operation of fish hatcheries and fish farms; service activities incidental to fishing). Production of hides and skins originating from slaughterhouses is classified in class 1511 (Production, processing and preserving of meat and meat products). Service activities related to hunting practised for sport or recreation are classified in class 9241 (Sporting activities).
